Gianna Petrillo (MS, OMS-3) is a third year medical student at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine from Stoneham, MA. Before attending NYITCOM, Gianna graduated from Brandeis University with degrees in Anthropology and Biology and she completed her Master’s of Science in Global Health Policy and Management from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management. She is a National Health Service Corps Scholar and she is passionate about community and public health. Her academic interests include research in osteopathic manipulative medicine and health equity. She is excited to pursue a career in pediatrics and looks forward to caring for children from diverse backgrounds. Outside of the classroom she enjoys knitting and she volunteers her skills by knitting comfortable, wearable prosthetics for breast cancer survivors.
