Athena Chatzigiannidis, is a family medicine resident at Cherokee Nation Outpatient Health Center in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Her interests in medicine include women and children's health, as well as working with rural and underserved populations. She the ACOFP as a first-year medical student and fell in love with the unique sense of family and encouragement from both her peers and mentors within the organization. After spending a year on the ACOFP National Student Executive Board and a year serving as the Student Governor on the ACOFP Board of Governors, she was eager to join the Resident Council and continue to be a voice for her peers, as well as future generations of the profession.
