Raymond V. Romano, DO, FACOFP is the Discipline Chair for Family Medicine and the director for the Principles of Primary Care course at the Carolinas campus of the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM-Carolinas). He received a Bachelor of Science in Business from Fairfield University and worked for an international IT consulting firm for five years prior to attending medical school. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC. In addition to his role at VCOM-Carolinas, he continues to see patients, accompanied vy VCOM students, at his outpatient practice in Simpsonville, SC.
Dr. Romano is currently the President-Elect for the South Carolina Osteopathic Medical Society and a member of the American Osteopathic Association, serving as a Delegate for the state of South Carolina.
