Seth H. Carter, DO, MSMEd serves as a geriatric and family medicine physician, preceptor, residency clinical supervisor, and clinical professor for LECOM Health in Erie, Pennsylvania. He spends his clinical time divided between the LECOM Institute for Successful Aging, Eastside Medical Center, and LECOM Health VNA Hospice. He also serves as the medical director at Twinbrook Healthcare and Rehab in Erie, PA.
Dr. Carter graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine as a Primary Care Scholar (2016) and completed family medicine residency at LECOM Health’s Millcreek Community Hospital (2019), a Master of Science in Medical Education from LECOM (2019), and geriatric medicine fellowship also at MCH (2020).
Dr. Carter has served on the Northwestern Pennsylvania Regional Response Health Collaborative as an emergency response team member, nursing home educator, infection control specialist, and resiliency expert for over 81 nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the region.
In addition to his medical career, Dr. Carter is heavily involved in his community in a variety of ways, most notably by serving in a regional presidency for his local church and on the Board of Directors at the United Way of Erie County in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Carter married his sweetheart, Chantelle Fowler, in 2011. They have two beautiful daughters, Ruth and Lucy, and one adorable son, Thomas, who love to occupy the rest of daddy’s time by having him chase them around the house or yard.
