Christine Khandelwal, DO, MHPE, FAAHPM graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a residency in Family Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Khandelwal realized her passion for caring for the complex, geriatric, and seriously ill population, which led her to pursue a Geriatrics Fellowship, concentrating in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, at UNC Chapel Hill. For the past ten years, Dr. Khandelwal has been practicing as a clinician educator while developing the Inpatient Palliative Care Consult Service at a large, urban healthcare system in Raleigh, North Carolina. For the past two years, Dr. Christine Khandelwal completed a Master in Health Professions Education, which led her to her most recent role, serving as Professor of Family Medicine at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine, Director of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Khandelwal brings her experience and expertise in education to provide interprofessional medical education and training in the field of geriatrics to improve the care of our vulnerable population in a rural, underserved community.
