Dr. Robert Schreiber is a critical medicine and pulmonary disease specialist who practied for 37 years in Long Island, New York. He retired from clinical practice in November 2023 Dr. Schreiber served as both the Medical Director of the Surgical ICU and then the Director of the Pulmonary Division at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, New York. He was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Hofstra University Medical School. After earning his undergraduate degree in biology from Emory University, Dr. Schreiber pursued his medical degree at State University of New York-Downstate Medical Center, College of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Baltimore City Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and his fellowship in pulmonary medicine at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Dr. Schreiber is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary disease and formerly was board-certified in critical care medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, and is also a member of the American Thoracic Society. Dr. Schreiber’s clinical interests include the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), as well as the diagnosis and management of lung cancer.
